This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.
• Address a high volume of appointment requests through phone calls, emails, work queues, and various electronic communications.
• Arrange suitable medical examinations, procedures, and tests.
• Gather demographic information and register insurance when necessary.
• Act as an escalation point for Specialists I and II.
• Manage intricate scheduling requests.
• Serve as a departmental resource for inquiries related to workflow, policies, and processes.
• Mentor, train, and assist less experienced team members.
• Promote quality, accuracy, and operational excellence.
• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in customer service, patient access, healthcare administration, or a related service-oriented field.
• Proficiency in managing complex patient scenarios, service recovery, and escalation resolution.
• Capability to function as a departmental resource for inquiries regarding workflow, policies, and processes.
• Outstanding customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach, train, and assist less experienced staff members.
• Dedication to quality, accuracy, and operational excellence.
• Preferred experience in healthcare, including scheduling, patient registration, insurance, or revenue cycle functions.
• Preferred experience in participating in quality improvement initiatives, workflow development, or project work.
• Preferred experience as a subject matter expert or lead team member.
