Patient Access Scheduler 1 – Rehab, Scheduling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Coordinate patient appointments for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, office visits, and other procedures/treatments.

• Gather and confirm essential demographic and insurance details.

• Register patients and input information into the scheduling system.

• Operate in a call center-style environment.

• Achieve individual quality performance metrics.

• Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, their families, staff, physicians, and members of the community.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, Certificate, GED, Training, or Experience.

• Successfully complete and pass the Patient Access training course.

• Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work setting.

• Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations.

• Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Basic familiarity with medical and insurance terminology is preferred.

• Experience with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, knowledge of EMR applications, etc.) and accurate typing skills.

• Understanding of regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and the Medicare coverage framework, including compliance with medical necessity guidelines.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.

• Less than one year of experience required.
