Patent Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Prepare and file patent applications.

• Engage in patent law practices and oversee intricate legal matters.

• Take initiative in managing cases and progressing them effectively.

• Work collaboratively within a team setting.

• Organize and prioritize tasks while maintaining effectiveness under pressure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, biology, or a related discipline.

• Advanced degree in biochemistry, biology, or a similar field is preferred.

• Experience with software or software-related patents is advantageous.

• Must be registered and in good standing to practice with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

• Attorneys must hold a valid Bar admission in the jurisdiction of application and maintain good standing.

• Prior experience in practicing patent law is required.

• Proven capability to work both independently and in collaboration on complex legal issues.

• Demonstrated expertise in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills along with sound judgment.

• Ability to independently handle a case and ensure its progress.

• Skilled in prioritizing workload and thriving under pressure.

• Must possess a self-motivated attitude.
