Party Chief – Independent Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Conduct boundary, topographic, construction staking, and control surveys autonomously

• Skillfully operate GPS, Total Stations, and data collectors with precision and care

• Analyze project plans, survey plats, and specifications to direct field operations

• Gather and document concise, accurate field notes and sketches for each project

• Engage proactively with NexGen project managers regarding progress and site conditions

• Maintain safety standards and uphold quality expectations on every assignment

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of field surveying experience, encompassing independent or crew leadership roles

• Advanced proficiency with GPS, Total Stations, and data collection software

• Comprehensive understanding of surveying principles, legal descriptions, and construction staking

• A valid Florida driver’s license with a clean record (fewer than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years; no DUI or reckless driving in the past 5 years)

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites

• High school diploma or GED; technical training in surveying is a plus

• Capability to work independently outdoors in Florida’s climate — self-motivated and reliable

• Excellent communication skills paired with a professional, accountable demeanor in all interactions
