
Partnership Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee and execute business and partner development initiatives across various products related to digital archiving, open access, and web and data services.
• Take charge of the cultivation and management processes for both inbound and outbound leads.
• Provide product demonstrations, trials, training sessions, along with relevant quotes and proposals.
• Assist in ensuring the success of new partners, the retention of existing partners, and the overall satisfaction and engagement of partners.
• Play a role in community management efforts to enhance partner engagement.
• Represent Internet Archive and build relationships with current and prospective partners at conferences, meetings, and events.
• Strategize and manage marketing and outreach efforts while establishing a strong identity and a vibrant community for our products and programs.
• Collaborate with partner services and finance teams to manage user and account data, leads pipelines and CRM systems, along with reporting and business analytics.
• Work closely with the Director and managers to ensure that development and outreach activities are in alignment with product roadmaps and strategic objectives.
• Set and fulfill targets for partnerships, new users, and revenue growth.
• Contribute to departmental grant applications and funder development initiatives.
• Assist with research projects and other internal tasks as assigned.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in partnership/business development, user support, sales, or product/partnership management, ideally within SaaS technologies.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing growth strategies for web-based products, particularly for institutional users.
• Ability to define this highly-matrixed role, manage a variety of responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a cross-functional team setting.
• Experience working with non-profit organizations.
• Familiarity with libraries, educational institutions, cultural heritage organizations, government entities, or other mission-driven organizations.
• Experience in remote work and collaborating with remote teams.
• Knowledge of library technologies, socially beneficial web applications, or open-source technology product development.
• Previous experience with CRM systems or similar tools.
• Must be adept at managing multiple concurrent projects, deadlines, and responsibilities while thriving in a loosely-structured, dynamic environment.
• Flexibility, self-sufficiency, a sense of humor, a creative problem-solving approach, and a results-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.
• Willingness to travel (approximately 10%-20%) is required.
