This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Offer payer relations assistance to MB2 Dental offices through a tailored, consultative methodology.
• Maximize dental plan revenue while acting as a liaison between MB2 offices and payers.
• Provide payer relations expertise to offices, Credentialing, and the Central Business Office (RCO).
• Perform annual reviews of the payer portfolio to enhance network participation.
• Execute yearly UCR fee assessments utilizing industry fee data.
• Act as an internal expert on payer relations and a source of information.
• Negotiate contracts and compensation with the designated regional payers.
• Seek member assignments and present new payer networks to the Operations team.
• Investigate and resolve payer-related challenges for offices and internal departments.
• Articulate value and support the implementation of EDI, EFT, ERA, and web portal efficiencies.
• Organize and conduct training sessions for offices on payer relations subjects, including leased/rental networks and participation in PPO, DHMO, and EPO plans.
• Facilitate patient grievance resolutions as required.
• Manage the resolution of significant payer claims disputes upon request.
• Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned.
• AA degree is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in a dental office is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of dental coding is necessary.
• Experience in dental billing is required.
• Familiarity with PPO, DHMO, EPO, Medicare, and Medicaid models is essential.
• Proficiency in English: capable of reading, writing, and speaking fluently.
• Ability to analyze data and formulate action plans.
• Capacity to think strategically and convey recommendations to senior management and doctors.
• Competence in projecting revenue streams and drawing conclusions with suggestions.
• Skill in cultivating productive business relationships both within and outside of MB2 Dental.
• Ability to interact effectively with senior management across functions.
• Strong customer service mindset and consultative abilities.
• Self-motivated with the capability to work remotely with minimal oversight.
• Skill in organizing, prioritizing, and executing tasks promptly.
• Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy and follow-up capabilities.
• Proficient in PC usage.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including the creation, manipulation, analysis, and interpretation of spreadsheets.
• Working knowledge of dental practice management systems such as Dentrix is a plus.
