
Part-Time Real Estate Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
β’ Prepare all necessary documentation and fulfill all responsibilities to become a recognized instructor or Instructor of Record.
β’ Offer assistance in response to student emails, voicemails, and inquiries on discussion boards.
β’ Respond to students within one (1) business day, ideally within 24 hours, via email or personal phone. Direct personal meetings with students are not required or recommended.
β’ Evaluate course content and support updates in accordance with applicable state laws and regulations.
β’ Complete training and stay updated on all school technology systems essential for student support.
β’ Become acquainted with the course content and structure.
β’ Achieve the 16-hour CDEI (Certified Distance Education Instructor) designation through IDECC (International Distance Education Certification Center β www.IDECC.org) within four months of accepting this contract, and maintain the designation by enrolling in the CDEI renewal course every three years. The school will reimburse the costs for acquisition and renewal.
β’ Instructors of Record may have additional responsibilities based on state requirements. This list serves as an example and is not an exhaustive list of tasks.
β’ Submit appropriate paperwork to the state commission for school approvals and renewals.

β’ Permit the use of name and signature on course completion certificates.
β’ Provide formal evaluations of course materials.
β’ Stay vigilant and report any changes from the real estate commission and regulatory bodies that may impact course content or delivery.
β’ Deliver a 15-60 minute presentation before the Education Advisory Committee for each of the three pre-license courses, and be prepared to answer questions related to the subject matter.
β’ A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a licensed real estate salesperson, broker, or attorney is required.
β’ An active NM real estate license (salesperson or broker) is required.
β’ Will participate in an instructor training course, Core Course Instructor Boot Camp, or attend a suitable Instructor Development Workshop within one year of approval.
β’ Previous teaching experience is highly preferred.
