This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Execute monthly comprehensive payroll operations utilizing automated systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, or SimplePay.
• Oversee monthly EMP201 submissions and bi-annual EMP501 employer reconciliations through e@syFile or eFiling, ensuring adherence to mandatory SARS validation standards.
• Manage monthly UIF declarations and COIDA Return of Earnings submissions.
• Ensure all employment practices are legally compliant, supervising the complete onboarding and offboarding administrative processes.
• Support annual Employment Equity (EE) reporting and WSP/ATR submissions to the relevant SETAs.
• Maintain confidential employee files in line with POPIA regulations and manage the FSP representative register.
• Prepare and submit Company Annual Returns, complete CIPC Compliance Checklists, and keep Beneficial Ownership (BO) registers updated.
• Keep statutory company records meticulously current, including registers of directors and shareholders.
• Manage daily ledgers by processing supplier invoices (Accounts Payable) via cloud accounting software (QuickBooks) and overseeing the ApprovalMax application.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and provide essential trial balance support to the finance team during year-end preparations.
• 3–5+ years of experience in a comparable multi-functional role handling payroll, bookkeeping, and company secretarial tasks within a South African context.
• A National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Human Resources, Corporate Governance, or Commerce.
• Advanced skills in SARS e@syFile, SARS eFiling, CIPC E-Services, QuickBooks Accounting Software, and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of local regulations (BCEA, POPIA, COIDA, Income Tax Act, and the Companies Act).
• High level of integrity when managing sensitive payroll and corporate information.
• Excellent time-management abilities to effectively navigate overlapping monthly CIPC, SARS, and internal cut-off deadlines.
