Part Time Helpline Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide crisis and suicide intervention services.

• Conduct assessments related to basic needs and safety.

• Offer information, referrals to community services, and supportive listening via phone or virtual chat.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of Florida.

• Should have a secure, quiet, and confidential workspace with reliable internet access.

• Must not have caregiver obligations during working hours.

• Must successfully pass a level two (2) DCF background check and drug screening prior to employment.

• Education qualifications must meet or exceed our requirements:

• - A bachelor's degree (or higher) in psychology, human services, education, mental health, social work, early intervention, or a related field, along with one (1)+ years of experience in crisis and suicide intervention, counseling, therapy, and assessment techniques, or experience in children's behavioral health, substance use, or the special needs care system; OR

• - An associate's degree paired with two (2)+ years of experience in suicide/crisis intervention.

• Must have a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute.

• Should be comfortable working in a phone and virtual chat-based environment.

• Must be available for 16-29 hours weekly with a consistent schedule (flexible and accommodating options are available).
