Part-time Faculty – University Support Provider, California Teaching Credential

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Offer coaching, mentoring, and support to teacher candidates throughout their clinical practice experiences.

• Conduct virtual classroom observations and deliver timely, constructive feedback that aligns with program expectations.

• Assess candidate performance utilizing established evaluation tools and state standards.

• Assist candidates in showcasing their competency in the California Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs).

• Collaborate with site support teachers and university staff to foster candidate growth and success.

• Track candidate progress and pinpoint areas that require additional assistance.

• Maintain precise records and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed promptly.

• Engage in faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development as necessary.

• Address candidate inquiries and communications in a professional and timely manner.

• Contribute to continuous program improvement initiatives and meet accreditation requirements.

• Identify candidates at risk and work together with the clinical practice team and students.

• Employ strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Operate independently and collaboratively within a virtual team setting.

• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a Master's degree or higher in Education or a closely related field.

• Hold a valid California Teaching Credential in Multiple Subject or Single Subject Education.

• Have a minimum of three (3) years of successful K–12 teaching experience.

• Experience in mentoring, supervising, coaching, or evaluating teacher candidates, interns, or new educators.

• Show demonstrated knowledge of California Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs 1–7).
