
Part-time Faculty, Special Education

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Instructing designated courses in Special Education in accordance with the program's curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Assisting teacher candidates in cultivating evidence-based teaching practices for students with disabilities.
• Delivering timely and constructive feedback on assignments and evaluations.
• Keeping consistent communication with students and addressing inquiries within 48 hours.
• Ensuring that coursework complies with state standards and the expectations of the credential program.
• Collaborating with course leaders and departmental management to maintain consistency across program offerings.
• Staying informed about state regulations pertaining to teacher preparation and credentialing.
• A Master's degree in education, Special Education, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• A valid California teaching credential in Special Education* or a comparable out-of-state credential eligible for California licensure through reciprocity.
• Additional authorizations required for Autism and CLAD or equivalent certifications.
• At least three years of teaching experience in TK–12 environments, preferably with a focus on students with disabilities.
• Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL), California Multi-Tiered System of Supports (CA MTSS), and inclusive teaching methodologies.
• Proven experience in supporting diverse learners, including students with disabilities and/or multilingual learners.
