This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Mentor and enhance the facilitation abilities of 15-20 volunteer Leadership Coaches (LCs).
• Participate in 3-5 Learning Labs weekly to observe and assist assigned LCs.
• Provide timely and constructive follow-up emails after each observation session.
• Conduct individual coaching calls with targeted LCs.
• Actively engage and meet with LCs outside of lab hours.
• Monitor LC progress using Braven’s internal tracking system.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop scalable systems that promote volunteer success.
• Attend all mandatory Coaching Specialist training sessions.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience as a Braven volunteer Leadership Coach for at least one semester.
• Proven experience in teaching, instructional coaching, facilitation, or adult education.
• Ability to deliver clear, actionable feedback and quickly build trusting relationships.
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, with the capacity to support and mentor volunteers and facilitators, including those with significantly more experience or seniority.
• Commitment to Braven’s mission and to fostering the success of underrepresented college students.
• **Preferred Qualifications**
• Experience in managing and supporting facilitators, with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, patiently, and professionally with staff and volunteers.
• Proficiency in using collaboration and data tools such as Zoom, Google Suite, Slack, and Canvas (or similar systems).
• Demonstrated dedication to fostering strong and inclusive cultures that aid in the development of others.
• Exemplification of Braven’s core values.
• Experiences that have shaped your belief in Braven’s mission and prepared you to work with, or for, Braven’s student Fellow population.

• Ability to work remotely from one of our current Braven operating states: GA, IL, DE, NY, NJ.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours (supporting the observations of weekly programming up to 3 evenings per week).
