Part-Time Chaplain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Acts as a messenger, conveying faith, mission, and purpose.

• Engages with companies, their employees, and the surrounding community.

• Conducts regular brief visits to various company worksites.

• Visits employees or their immediate family members to express care and support.

• Offers referral services and coordinates specialized assistance.

• May assist in the planning or execution of funerals for employees or their immediate family members.

• May conduct jail visits for employees and their immediate family members.

• Collaborates with companies to notify families about deaths and serious injuries.

• May provide post-termination support for employees who have been laid off or terminated.

• Participates in new employee orientation to introduce the Employee Care Service.

• Ability to collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team and work within an interfaith environment.

• Proficient listening and interaction skills with clients, employees, and their families.

• Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle aligned with MCHAP's Ministry values.

• Proven ability to interact with diverse groups professionally, demonstrating diplomacy, patience, and courtesy.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.

• Demonstrated capability to analyze information to identify and address problems or objectives.

• Proficiency in computer applications, including Google Suites, Microsoft Office, or similar software.

• Must hold a valid state driver’s license and maintain state minimum auto insurance.
