Part-Time Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with diverse teams to design, develop, and maintain web applications from initial concept to final deployment.

• Create and deploy server-side code using programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, C#, and more.

• Establish database schemas, execute queries, and manage interactions with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

• Integrate third-party APIs and services as necessary for enhanced functionality and data exchange.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

• Conduct code reviews, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and uphold high standards of code quality.

• Implement security protocols and data protection measures to safeguard user and business information.

• Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing prompt solutions to ensure the smooth operation of web applications.

• Actively participate in Agile development methodologies, including daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

• Remain informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance our development processes and capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Equivalent work experience will also be taken into account.

• Willingness to work across international time zones to facilitate effective collaboration.

• Ideally, a strong portfolio or relevant work experience that showcases your skills (NOTE: Please include a link to your portfolio in your resume).

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, C#, and others.

• Solid understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and RESTful API design.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is an advantage.

• Excellent attention to detail coupled with a problem-solving mindset.

• Strong organizational and time management competencies.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
