This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Support the execution of audits, reviews, and compilations in alignment with U.S. GAAP and the firm's policies for clients within commercial sectors.
• Aid in the engagement planning process, including assessing risks, formulating audit strategies, and setting timelines.
• Prepare and evaluate GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures to ensure precision and adherence to professional standards.
• Oversee, mentor, and review the work performed by staff auditors, offering constructive feedback and direction.
• Effectively communicate with clients to address issues, discuss findings, and present audit outcomes.
• Maintain appropriate documentation in compliance with firm policies and auditing standards.
• Manage both large and small engagements concurrently while handling multiple priorities and adhering to deadlines.
• Strengthen client relationships by delivering exceptional customer service.
• Stay updated on technical accounting and auditing developments.
• Collaborate within a team setting as well as work autonomously.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Actively pursuing your CPA license; a current CPA license is advantageous.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent auditing experience in a public accounting firm, focusing on audit and assurance engagements in commercial sectors.
• Strong familiarity with U.S. GAAP, including technical accounting principles and financial statement presentation requirements.
• Experience in executing and supervising audit procedures, encompassing planning, risk assessment, internal control evaluation, substantive testing, and completion.
• Capability to prepare and review GAAP financial statements and their associated disclosures.
• Experience in mentoring, supervising, or reviewing the work of junior team members.
• Ability to complete various tasks within time constraints and deadlines.
• Competence in prioritizing and managing responsibilities independently in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a dedication to high-quality outcomes.
• Outstanding collaboration, communication, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Proficient in Excel and Word (Microsoft 365 suite), skilled at navigating and adapting to new technologies; familiarity with accounting systems (ProSystems, CCH) is a plus.
