Paralegal, Trade & Policy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in legal and strategic efforts associated with international trade, encompassing antidumping and countervailing duty (AD/CVD) issues, safeguard measures, and trade remedy proceedings.

• Aid in customs compliance activities, including classification, valuation, and trade remedy processes.

• Facilitate adherence to forced labor regulations, particularly duties outlined in the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA).

• Keep track of legislative and regulatory changes concerning energy policy, trade policy, and manufacturing incentives.

• Contribute to the creation and upkeep of internal compliance programs pertaining to customs, trade, supply chain, diligence, and ethics.

• Assist in legal policy matters concerning renewable energy incentives, specifically Sections 45X and 48E.

• Aid in formulating policy positions, public comments, and regulatory strategies that influence the renewable energy manufacturing industry.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across legal, supply chain, operations, and investor relations to ensure coherence on regulatory and compliance issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience, including roles in trade, compliance, or regulatory law.

• Knowledge of U.S. trade policy, customs law, and compliance frameworks impacting manufacturing and global supply chains.

• Experience in AD/CVD proceedings, trade remedies, or compliance with UFLPA.

• Awareness of renewable energy policies and advanced manufacturing incentives, particularly Sections 45X and 48E.

• Capability to manage complex legal and policy work streams involving internal teams and external advisors.

• Exceptional legal drafting, analytical, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
