This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• In the role of Paralegal – Contracts & Compliance, you will support Liviniti’s Legal and Compliance Department through the administration of contracts, regulatory and licensing assistance, and the daily operations of legal affairs.
• Prepare client and vendor contracts along with other legal documents derived from standard templates for review, approval, and utilization by Legal Counsel and the Legal Department.
• Aid in managing the online legal ticketing system, which includes reviewing ticket inquiries, preparing required documentation, responding to inquiries, maintaining organization of tickets, and ensuring compliance with turnaround time expectations.
• Assist in the upkeep of the internal database designated for tracking tickets and contracts.
• Organize and file correspondence and legal documents in the company-wide contracts database or file server.
• Support client and vendor contract follow-ups for all agreements and legal documents distributed by the Legal Department.
• Aid in providing timely responses to redlines on common or standard requests.
• Assist with Request for Proposal activities as needed.
• Help coordinate, prepare, and submit applications for all licenses and registrations within the company to ensure timely submissions and maintain licensing files.
• Conduct research and analyze legal sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and legal codes.
• Attend, complete, and demonstrate proficiency in all required HIPAA Training offered by the company, and comply with all obligations under HIPAA concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Assist Legal Counsel, Manager, and Administrator with various tasks as required, including clerical duties like scheduling appointments and responding to caller inquiries.
• Engage in special legal projects as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A high level of professional ethics and integrity.
• Strong judgment and the ability to assess situations and information effectively.
• Healthcare compliance or paralegal certification is preferred.
• Additional legal research certifications and coursework are preferred.
• Experience with business registration or healthcare licensure applications with State authorities is preferred.
