This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Support attorneys in preparing and reviewing family law pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Perform legal research and compile case summaries, along with other legal documents.
• Organize client files and maintain systematic case records, including both electronic and physical documents.
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to arrange meetings, depositions, hearings, and other appointments.
• Prepare and assemble materials for trials, mediations, and other events, including exhibits and witness lists.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, which includes drafting pre-trial motions and other necessary documents.
• Effectively manage the e-filing process for various legal documents, ensuring timely submissions and accurate record-keeping.
• Monitor and comply with all court-required deadlines and other time-sensitive matters, assisting in communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Professionally manage incoming phone calls, addressing inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate individuals.
• Deliver exceptional client service by keeping clients updated on case progress and responding to inquiries promptly.
• Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards consistently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Over 2 years of demonstrated experience in family law, encompassing cases related to marriage, divorce, custody, and support.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Comprehensive understanding of family law and legal procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal software.
• Strong legal research and writing abilities, with the capacity to draft complex legal documents.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, adept at working effectively with clients, attorneys, and other staff members.
• Detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
