This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Assist with company secretarial functions, including the preparation of Board and committee materials and aiding in the management of our entity portfolio.
• Oversee and organize our shared company secretarial email inbox, ensuring that requests are prioritized and addressed in a timely manner.
• Help ensure the accuracy of corporate records and governance documents across our group entities.
• Take the lead on legal operations initiatives, such as process automation, task assignment to in-house lawyers, updates to current technology platforms, and drafting and implementing policies.
• Facilitate the transfer of key data points and contracts into our contract management system.
• Serve as the main contact or escalation point for all NDA requests.
• Conduct initial and final reviews of commercial contracts and assist with negotiations, under appropriate supervision.
• Provide assistance with related administrative responsibilities, such as processing purchase orders and managing budgets.
• Support data privacy initiatives, including aiding in the automation of data privacy impact assessments.
• Carry out miscellaneous tasks to support the overall legal function.
• Engage with AI tools as an integral part of your responsibilities.
• Company Secretarial & Governance Experience: practical experience in supporting company secretarial or governance tasks, such as preparing Board and committee materials, managing entity records, or handling a day-to-day company secretary inbox.
• Legal Operations & Technology: experience in creating and executing workflows and process flows across various technology platforms. Familiarity with tools like LawVu, Jira, and DocuSign is required.
• Contract & Commercial Support: comfortable providing initial and final reviews of commercial contracts and assisting in negotiations, including software agreements and marketing services agreements, with appropriate oversight.
• Sector Awareness: recent experience in the payments or financial services sector is preferred but not mandatory.
• Legal Foundation: prior legal experience through education or work is essential.
• Attention to Detail & Organisation: exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to prioritize multiple workstreams according to the needs of the Legal team and the broader business.
• Communication & Collaboration: excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building strong working relationships at all levels both internally and externally. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively, promoting knowledge sharing across teams and departments.
