This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• You will play a key role in supporting various personal injury cases by organizing documents, preparing legal forms, coordinating with service providers, and monitoring deadlines to ensure that cases remain accurate, thorough, and on track.
• Assist with paperwork and administrative duties for approximately 60 legal cases, primarily involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability cases such as slip and falls, medical malpractice, and some mass tort cases.
• Aid in discovery tasks, which include answering interrogatories, responding to document requests, and handling requests for admissions.
• Collect essential documents including medical records, police reports, photos, and bills.
• Facilitate the completion of legal forms and court documents using templates and AI tools.
• Collaborate with various service providers, including process servers, sheriffs for service of process, medical record vendors, and other legal suppliers.
• Follow instructions and primarily report to the lawyer/owner, while maintaining daily operational communication with the lead paralegal.
• Draft legal pleadings and complaints under supervision.
• Monitor tasks and deadlines utilizing the company’s platform/software.
• Must possess practical experience working under an attorney; a legal degree is not required.
• Experience in gathering legal documents, which is a crucial aspect of the role.
• Experience in Motor Vehicle / Personal Injury law is highly preferred, though not mandatory.
• Ability to manage discovery processes, including written discovery, interrogatories, and document requests.
• Competent in drafting pleadings and complaints.
• Skilled in coordinating with vendors and tracking tasks effectively.
• Technologically proficient and either experienced with or willing to learn CRM and legal software systems.
• Comfortable with both delegating and receiving tasks through a CRM system.
• Proficient in utilizing AI tools for legal tasks, including demand letters and discovery drafting.
• Strong team collaboration skills, with the ability to work well with others; primarily reporting to the lawyer while interacting daily with the lead paralegal.
• Capable of working independently on back-office support responsibilities.
• Eager to learn and receptive to feedback.
• Available for quick turnaround on assignments as needed.
• Responsive, including the ability to handle occasional urgent matters outside of regular hours (when necessary).
