This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Assist in the examination, redlining, and management of contracts pertaining to U.S. operations, including federal and state grant programs, under the direction of an attorney.
• Oversee the contract management system by tracking essential dates, renewals, and deliverables.
• Aid in compliance monitoring and assist in the preparation of compliance reports and documentation.
• Draft and sustain internal policies and procedures for U.S. operations for attorney evaluation.
• Monitor filing deadlines and help with U.S. tax compliance documentation (income, sales, unemployment, employer withholding, etc.).
• Prepare and submit registrations, permits, annual reports, and other corporate compliance filings.
• Collaborate with brokers and internal stakeholders regarding insurance coverage documentation for U.S. entities.
• Assist with the collection, organization, and fact-gathering of documents for internal investigations.
• Help with document collection and securing necessary signatures related to procurements and proposals.
• Oversee and manage legal department tasks and requests through the organization’s ticketing or workflow management system, ensuring timely responses, appropriate assignments, follow-ups, and closures.
• Provide general litigation and corporate legal support as designated by an attorney.
• Support employment law compliance and HR legal documentation in the Philippines.
• Prepare and manage business registration and regulatory filings for operations in the Philippines.
• Assist with tax compliance documentation and reporting for Philippine corporate and employment taxes.
• Track deadlines and maintain a compliance calendar for periodic filings, renewals, licenses, permits, and registrations.
• Draft and keep internal policies tailored to the Philippines business unit for attorney review.
• Support insurance procurement and compliance documentation in the Philippines.
• Assist with document collection and fact-gathering for internal investigations.
• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate; a law degree or legal studies background is advantageous but not mandatory.
• 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a comparable legal support role.
• Reside in the Philippines with night shift work hours to align with the U.S. team.
• Experience or formal education related to U.S. law is highly sought after.
• Familiarity with U.S. corporate compliance, contracts, or tax filings is preferred.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in recognizing issues and escalating them appropriately.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote U.S.-based team.
