Packet Core Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop project delivery schedules for the Packet Core domain.

• Assist the Project Manager in managing project schedules and resource allocation plans.

• Identify necessary resources and align resource requirements with DDM and TDL.

• Initiate, create, and produce technical project documentation.

• Provide Packet Core design documentation that meets customer and project specifications.

• Deliver the technical project scope for Packet Core, encompassing network function deployment, integration, upgrades, acceptance testing, and system performance assessment.

• Advise project stakeholders on technical questions related to Packet Core.

• Establish the implementation strategy for Packet Core software and the sequence for network element installation.

• Determine requirements for new software features and collaborate with R&D and Product Managers.

• Oversee technical project risks.

• Develop and implement tools, including automation solutions, to enhance project execution.

• Lead the Packet Core technical team, delegate tasks, and oversee execution.

• Organize and conduct regular technical project meetings, providing updates on status, issues, and plans.

• Ensure the quality of technical processes and procedures, including customer network interventions and testing rehearsals.

• Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive measures for failed interventions or outages.

• Manage, consolidate, prioritize, and escalate tickets towards Salesforce, 4LS, and R&D.

• Lead kickoff calls for upgrade projects, discussing requirements, deliverables, exclusions, traffic migration, and maintenance schedules.

• Define the software upgrade strategy for Packet Core and target software versions.

• Review technical documents, release notes, and compatibility matrices.

• Create upgrade assessment documents for customers.

• Allocate network elements for upgrades.

• Coordinate maintenance windows with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Make decisions during EME calls and manage relevant escalations.

• Facilitate technical delivery communications with customers and stakeholders.

• Provide weekly project status updates to management.

• Complete the handover for project care.

• Contribute to enhancing the SCD Delivery Quality KPI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in Ukraine.

• Appropriate work permits are necessary.

• Experience level: Experienced Professionals.

• Proficiency in the Packet Core domain and familiarity with mobile, fixed, and cloud networks.

• Experience in deploying, integrating, upgrading, accepting testing, and evaluating system performance in Packet Core network functions.

• Capability to define software implementation and upgrade strategies for Packet Core.

• Ability to manage technical project risks and lead technical teams.

• Skill in coordinating with customer and internal stakeholders.

• Competence in managing tickets, escalations, maintenance windows, and executing upgrades.

• Proficient in creating and delivering technical and design documentation.

• Skilled in performing root-cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive measures.

• Ability to utilize or define automation tools to improve project execution efficiency.
