This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assist local governments and private non-profit organizations in their recovery from natural disasters through federal funding initiatives, specifically the FEMA PA program.
• Facilitate the administrative aspects of the recovery program by gathering documentation that includes damage assessments, financial data, facility maintenance records, and other pertinent information.
• Support clients in ensuring their expenses qualify for funding in alignment with FEMA PA program policies, processes, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with clients to utilize the gathered information and aid in the development of project proposals, particularly in creating detailed FEMA PA Project Worksheets (PWs).
• Contribute to additional recovery initiatives beyond the FEMA PA program as required.
• At least two (2) years of professional experience, ideally in management consulting or in a position that directly supports the FEMA PA Program.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as economics, political science, public policy, emergency management, or business administration).
• Prior experience in financial analysis and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including capabilities such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
