This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Oversee and enhance the sales of equine veterinary supplies to equine hospitals, boarding facilities, and racetracks within a designated geographic region.
• Work in conjunction with Inside Sales Representatives to optimize sales performance.
• Schedule calls, organize materials on iPads, distribute literature packets, analyze sales interactions, send advance notice cards, and keep up-to-date with promotions, products, emails, mail, and industry trends.
• Conduct sales calls to equine veterinary clinics, racetracks, universities, and research facilities in the assigned territory.
• Market equine veterinary products and Midwest Equine Business Solutions to around 75–90 equine-exclusive accounts.
• Supply market insights to designated clinics.
• Foster equine business growth by collaborating with ISR/OSR teams, educational initiatives, and marketing programs.
• Build and sustain relationships with equine vendor representatives.
• Accompany representatives from BI, Clipper, Merial, Merck, and Zoetis at least once each quarter.
• Attend vendor-sponsored veterinary meetings, equine trade expos, regional, and national company meetings, as well as vendor training sessions.
• Engage in corporate initiatives aimed at enhancing MVS’s equine visibility.
• Collaborate with the Equine Business Unit Director, Regional Manager, and National Sales Manager.
• Address approved vendor requests, including surveys and territory analyses.
• Manage and submit expense reports within a two-week timeframe.
• Provide territory reports as needed.
• Travel extensively between clinics and operate a vehicle throughout the day.
• Candidate must reside in Kentucky.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A four-year college degree is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in the equine veterinary industry in a field sales capacity is required.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Capability to read and interpret safety guidelines, employment policies, operational instructions, and procedural documents.
• Exceptional listening and verbal communication abilities, including diplomacy and professional sales techniques.
• Strong organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work accurately with detailed information.
• Basic computer proficiency, including data entry skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must be self-driven and diligent.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and remain eligible to operate a vehicle on behalf of the Company.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record and remain insurable under the Company's automobile insurance policy.
• Must be able to manage high stress and handle rejection effectively.
