• This role involves the sale and promotion of Wurth/MSM (Northern Safety's) catalog products.
• The individual must consistently seek out new business opportunities while maintaining service for the existing territory clientele.
• Travel throughout the designated territory to enhance business through direct, face-to-face interactions with customers.
• Foster customer relationships utilizing consultative selling methods, soliciting orders, and engaging with customers via phone and virtual meeting platforms.
• Partner with customer service and branch locations to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with inside sales representatives to establish customer contact points for order placement, delivery scheduling, and pricing inquiries.
• Provide price quotes on products and assess customer eligibility for volume purchase programs.
• Responsible for monitoring customer purchases using monthly customer reports.
• Follow up on any samples or catalogs sent to potential or existing customers.
• Work alongside the Product Trainer to enhance knowledge of product applications, ensuring customers are informed of the latest developments.
• Timely submission of territory reports and competitive intelligence is essential.
• Maintain accurate daily records of activities and opportunities in our CRM system.
• Provide the company with insights regarding customer feedback and serve as a resource for all current sales channels.
• Strategically plan and organize sales initiatives.
• Perform all other assigned duties.
• An Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college; one to three years of sales experience is preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
• A valid and clean state driver's license is required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Must demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team player with associates and managers.
• Self-starter with a proactive, objective, and assertive approach to work.
• Must maintain confidentiality regarding company-related matters and materials.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups including team leaders, managers, associates, and customers.
• Proficient in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
• Capable of resolving issues that involve several concrete variables in standardized situations.
