This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Engage actively in structured training sessions focusing on insurance policies, specific claims processes, systems, and procedures, which may include virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training.
• Review, investigate, and document first-party property claims under close supervision.
• Collect information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Acquire skills to investigate and assess all pertinent facts and information, including analyzing leases, contracts, by-laws, and other relevant documents that may influence outcomes.
• Determine and apply coverage for building damages in accordance with policy terms.
• Establish accurate scopes of damages for building and contents losses, utilizing this information for written or computer-assisted estimates.
• Ensure timely and professional communication with customers, claimants, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain precise records of claim activities in claim management systems.
• Show a commitment to continuous learning, particularly regarding AI and digital transformation.
• Adapt to new technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts while sustaining productivity and service quality.
• This role involves participation in our Catastrophe Response Program, which may require deployment to assist customers in other states.
• The position necessitates accessing and inspecting all areas of a dwelling or structure, which can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to carry, set up, and climb a ladder weighing approximately 38 to 49 pounds, walk on roofs, and enter confined spaces (such as attic staircases and crawl spaces).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Previous internship or work experience in customer service or insurance is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Exceptional customer service abilities and a commitment to creating a positive experience for insureds and claimants.
• Capability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
• Basic conflict resolution skills with a willingness to learn advanced techniques for facilitating productive discussions and negotiations.
• High School Diploma or GED along with one year of customer service experience, OR a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Valid driver's license is required.
