πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Actively oversee assigned property claims from initial inspection to final damage resolution.

β€’ Conduct property inspections for residential and commercial properties in the field, virtually, within local jurisdictions, or during catastrophe events.

β€’ Assess property damage and analyze claim data, policy specifics, endorsements, deductibles, previous damage, photographs, imagery, and other relevant documentation.

β€’ Create precise estimates, document findings, manage supplements, and issue payments when deemed appropriate.

β€’ Take ownership of damage-related activities and supplements, using judgment to efficiently resolve minor issues.

β€’ Collaborate with Inside Claim Representatives on ownership, transitions, compliance, customer communications, and claims resolution.

β€’ Utilize approved vendors and resources to ensure quality results, customer satisfaction, and effective expense management.

β€’ Assist with local territory tasks, catastrophe responses, and adapting to evolving business needs.

β€’ Apply expertise in property claims, construction knowledge, estimating skills, and proficiency in Xactimate.

β€’ Demonstrate judgment and critical thinking while evaluating damages, coordinating inspections, and addressing customer or contractor inquiries.

β€’ Act as a property damage resource across Personal Insurance, Business Insurance, and Catastrophe Claim Operations.

β€’ Use AI-driven tools to enhance claims handling efficiency, quality, consistency, decision-making, and process enhancements.

β€’ Foster relationships with customers, claim partners, vendors, contractors, and leadership.

β€’ Propel resolution, make informed choices, and escalate issues as necessary.

β€’ Represent The Hartford with professionalism and empathy throughout the claims process.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A college degree and/or relevant work experience is required.

β€’ Preferred experience includes property claims, construction, field adjusting, estimating, catastrophe response, or proficiency in Xactimate.

β€’ Strong skills in customer service, communication, negotiation, critical thinking, and organization are essential.

β€’ Ability to prioritize competing tasks, make informed decisions, and engage in difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.

β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; ability to learn and effectively use new technologies and tools.

β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and collaboration.

β€’ Availability for nationwide catastrophe operations as needed, including deployments typically lasting 10-14 days, with the possibility of extended deployments depending on business needs and event severity.

β€’ Must secure and maintain the necessary Property & Casualty Adjuster licenses.

β€’ Continued employment is contingent on successfully completing applicable licensing exams within 30 business days following the completion of licensing training.

β€’ Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that complies with company and insurance requirements for operating a company vehicle.
