Claims Examiner – Workers Compensation, OR Cert Preferred

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Evaluate workers' compensation claims on behalf of clients to ascertain entitled benefits.

• Ensure the continuous adjudication of claims adheres to service expectations, industry best practices, and client service standards.

• Analyze and process claims through action plans to achieve timely resolutions.

• Conduct investigations and collect information to assess claim exposure.

• Negotiate the settlement of claims within the assigned authority.

• Communicate claim activities and processing updates with claimants and clients.

• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to direction requests in a professional and timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Knowledge of licensing/jurisdiction: OR

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually.

• Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion.

• Capability to manage work-related stress and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to meet deadlines effectively.

• Proficient in computer keyboarding.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.
