This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate medical records, imaging studies, and other documentation pertaining to orthopedic injuries and conditions.
• Create detailed written reports and expert opinions derived from medical record analysis and examination results.
• Perform comprehensive medical examinations of plaintiffs and defendants as requested.
• Deliver expert testimony during depositions, trials, and other legal proceedings via telephone, video conference, or in-person appearances.
• Work in partnership with attorneys to provide medical insights and strategic guidance.
• Keep abreast of the latest medical literature, research, and advancements in orthopedic medicine and surgery.
• Maintain thorough time logs and submit precise invoices according to company policies.
• Willingness to travel out-of-state on short notice for testimony and examinations.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
• A current, unrestricted medical license in good standing.
• Ongoing maintenance of relevant certifications and continuing education obligations.
• At least 5 years of clinical experience in orthopedic surgery.
• Previous experience as an expert witness or in forensic consultation is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to articulate complex medical concepts in layman's terms.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Professional demeanor and appearance suitable for testimony.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without supervision.
• Proficient in electronic medical records and computer systems.
