This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
β’ Conduct in-person assessments and deliver services in accordance with IEP specifications.
β’ Collaborate with parents, educators, and students to establish consistent service schedules.
β’ Formulate IEP goals pertinent to the educational environment.
β’ Instruct on travel skills, encompassing sensory efficiency, cane techniques, orientation methods, and environmental awareness.
β’ Suggest suitable accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology options to school personnel.
β’ Ensure adherence to state and school regulations.
β’ Keep precise documentation, including service logs and progress updates.
β’ Gather data to monitor advancement towards IEP objectives.
β’ Offer training and support to families and staff members.
β’ Engage in IEP meetings and collaborative school team initiatives.
β’ Uphold a professional work atmosphere and reliable schedule.
β’ At least 2 years of experience as an Orientation & Mobility Specialist.
β’ Valid state certification in Orientation & Mobility as mandated by the state department of education.
