OPI English – Ukrainian Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Moldova, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Possess knowledge of the specific vocabulary related to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Demonstrate a willingness to pursue new professional certifications.

• Communicate and provide reports to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Ukrainian".

• At least 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company is preferred.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology is advantageous.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
