Operator Trading Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Delivering roaming, messaging, and IoT operator agreements by utilizing specialized knowledge of technologies, commercial models, and operational needs.

• Negotiating both commercial and technical terms with operator partners within established frameworks.

• Overseeing daily relationships with global operator partners as the main point of contact.

• Converting partner strategies into actionable deals and measurable operational results.

• Conducting regular business reviews to monitor KPIs, traffic commitments, and financial performance.

• Tracking performance metrics (traffic, revenue, cash flow, discounts) and taking necessary actions when required.

• Addressing operational and commercial challenges including disputes, service escalations, and blocking scenarios.

• Collaborating closely with internal technical, billing, and delivery teams to ensure agreements are comprehensively supported.

• Clearly communicating commercial and technical terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in telecommunications, preferably in wholesale, roaming, messaging, or interconnect.

• Strong knowledge of SMS interworking and/or roaming commercial arrangements.

• Familiarity with IoT connectivity models and their operational and commercial implications.

• Understanding of roaming and messaging technologies along with GSMA standards and practices.

• Awareness of SS7 and its significance to roaming and messaging services.

• Proven skills in commercial negotiation and the ability to effectively manage partner agreements.

• Excellent relationship management skills with confidence in engaging external operator partners.

• Ability to interpret and clearly communicate complex technical and commercial concepts.

• Strong problem-solving skills, especially in high-stakes or complex situations.

• Capability to manage multiple partnerships and priorities in a structured and independent manner.
