This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Coordinate and assist in the execution of conservation initiatives across protected area pipelines, including Indigenous Protected Areas, land acquisition support, and opportunities for private protected areas.
• Monitor project progress, timelines, and deliverables across selected and broader program activities.
• Maintain precise data regarding project pipelines, environmental values, statuses, and milestones.
• Utilize systems such as Smartsheet for managing, tracking, and reporting on projects, grants, and opportunities.
• Gather and present information to aid team decision-making and prioritization.
• Assist in the preparation of internal governance and donor approval documentation.
• Coordinate inputs related to legal, financial, and due diligence matters.
• Monitor grant requirements, reporting timelines, and compliance obligations.
• Facilitate engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organizations, landholders, and other stakeholders.
• Support meetings, communications, and follow-up actions.
• Enhance project management, grant management, due diligence, workflow, and data systems.
• Organize logistics for meetings, travel, and on-Country activities as needed.
• Assist in fundraising efforts by preparing materials and project information.
• Contribute to communications and reporting on conservation and protected area outcomes.
• Execute assigned components from start to finish with guidance while managing multiple priorities.
• Escalate complex or sensitive issues as necessary and provide coordination across teams and partners.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in natural resource management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in relationship building to collaborate closely with a variety of partners, including media, government officials, and internal scientists.
• Proven ability to complete tasks independently within specified timelines.
• Proficient in communicating through written, spoken, and graphical means in English and other relevant languages.
• Familiarity with common software applications such as Word, Excel, and web browsers.
• Experience in organizing information, managing workflows, or coordinating projects.
• Background in working with data systems, spreadsheets, or project tracking tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working in structured, process-oriented roles.
• Experience supporting conservation, land management, or environmental programs.
• Lived experience, cultural knowledge, or experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organizations, or communities.
• Experience in supporting native title, land rights, land tenure, or other real estate projects.
• Familiarity with GIS, mapping tools, or spatial data.
• Experience assisting in grant management or funding processes.
• Strong systems thinking ability to enhance processes and workflows.
• Cross-cultural experience.
