Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of overseeing and managing operational functions within CB Bermuda and those outsourced to intragroup or third-party entities, which includes the implementation of policies, management of SLA frameworks, and ensuring compliance with Bermuda regulations and contractual obligations.

• Develop and sustain supervision frameworks across key business areas of Coinbase Bermuda, ensuring conformity with regulatory standards and operational best practices.

• Spearhead the creation of operational resilience frameworks, encompassing risk identification, contingency planning, incident response coordination, and communication with regulators and service providers to maintain business continuity.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including banking partners, regulators, and cross-functional teams (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Security, Finance, Product, CX), to manage critical operations and risk initiatives effectively.

• Assist first line of defense operations in essential areas, including launch assessments and approvals, internal audits, regulatory examinations, and supervisory touchpoints.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in financial services with a proven track record in overseeing operations strategy, outsourcing, and vendor management within a regulated environment.

• Demonstrable experience within a regulated financial institution or investment firm, emphasizing trade supervision across crypto, equities, or derivatives.

• History of developing and enhancing operational processes, creating regulator-ready documentation, and managing cross-functional delivery with senior stakeholders.

• Knowledge of operational resilience frameworks, incident management, and business continuity planning within the financial services sector.

• Previous experience in a BMA-regulated industry, including understanding Bermuda Monetary Authority requirements and supervisory expectations.

• Responsible utilization of generative AI, ensuring human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and promote measurable enhancements in workflow efficiency, costs, and quality.

• Proven ability to effectively use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in day-to-day workflows, continuously adapting as tools develop, and applying human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs and enhance efficiency, costs, and quality.
