Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Execute well-defined tasks and projects to maintain high-quality standards.

• Acquire knowledge of the Mechanism OS and adhere to team conventions.

• Proactively communicate progress, identify obstacles, and validate assumptions.

• Create and manage structured data models while ensuring dataset cleanliness.

• Design automated workflows utilizing Google Apps Script, N8N, and Make.

• Support data pipelines and write SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.

• Assist in developing dashboards using Looker, Metabase, or Periscope.

• Integrate AI tools and APIs, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Klaviyo, into workflows.

• Create and iterate on web pages, product landing pages, and UI components.

• Plan, execute, and oversee paid media and SEO initiatives.

• Extract, organize, and clean data from web sources for research and competitive analysis.

• Conduct ad-hoc operational, administrative, and research tasks.

• Progress towards independently managing end-to-end projects.

• Identify recurring operational issues and design sustainable automations, playbooks, and workflows.

• Develop expertise in primary domains and fluency in secondary domains.

• Collaborate effectively with Mission Leaders, Operations Engineers, multidisciplinary teams, and portfolio companies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong analytical skills and data literacy.

• Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets or databases.

• Solid foundational skills in at least one domain of Operations Engineering.

• Familiarity with at least one automation or workflow tool such as N8N, Make, Zapier, or a similar platform.

• Basic to intermediate proficiency in spreadsheets or SQL, with the ability to quickly develop these skills.

• Exposure to AI tools like OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar alternatives.

• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize efficiently, and meet deadlines without constant supervision.

• Professional experience in front-end development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Tailwind, or Bootstrap.

• Experience in integrating front-end applications with APIs or databases.

• Familiarity or proficiency in SQL for accessing and modifying databases.

• Familiarity or proficiency in data visualization using tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.

• Experience utilizing AI tools.

• Experience with paid media campaigns or creative production for advertisements.

• Background in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT is a plus.

• Experience with front-end tools such as Webflow, Replo, React, or Shopify Builder is a plus.

• Proficiency in data visualization platforms like Looker, Metabase, Periscope, or similar is a plus.

• Hands-on experience with web scraping tools or scripting languages such as Octoparse or Python is a plus.

• Experience supporting startup or venture environments is a plus.
