Operation Research Scientist – Demand Planning, Forecasting

📋 Description

• Revise the optimization algorithm developed in Python by utilizing object-oriented programming principles.

• Implement data science techniques to address business challenges in supply chain management and optimization within the retail or CPG sectors.

• Examine extensive datasets employing advanced statistical methodologies and data science algorithms for pricing optimization.

• Create predictive models and optimization algorithms aimed at enhancing inventory management, minimizing stockouts, and optimizing resource distribution.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to convert business needs into data-driven solutions.

• Design and perform experiments to assess replenishment strategies and allocation policies.

• Track and evaluate KPIs associated with replenishment and supply chain allocation.

• Offer recommendations for ongoing enhancements.

• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices.

• Collaborate, mentor, and gain insights from seasoned Data Scientists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience of over 10 years as a Data Scientist, concentrating on supply chain optimization and inventory allocation.

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in using mathematical programming solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress MP, CPLEX, or Google OR Tools.

• Strong grasp of statistical techniques, optimization methods, and predictive modeling concepts.

• High level of expertise in Python, Pyspark, and SQL.

• Experience with data analysis and machine learning libraries.

• Capability to apply various analytical models to practical business scenarios.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to comprehend business partner requirements, provide solutions, and convey information to business stakeholders.
