Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Curriculum Development – Training Subject Matter Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert-level OSINT and curriculum development assistance for the ongoing enhancement and execution of a comprehensive OSINT training initiative.

• Provide guidance on curriculum content and validate educational materials for a U.S. Government project aiding a partner nation.

• Convert complex OSINT topics into succinct, teachable, and actionable instructional resources.

• Mentor faculty from partner nations throughout the curriculum development process.

• Create, assess, and validate both individual and collective OSINT training curricula.

• Provide advice on pilot courses and recommend areas for improvement.

• Ensure that training remains operationally pertinent and complies with NATO and U.S.-aligned standards.

• Collaborate with U.S. and international stakeholders through both in-person and virtual facilitation.

• Assist with periodic OCONUS, in-person engagements with partner nations as a member of a U.S. Government team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Possess an active U.S. Department of War Secret security clearance or higher.

• Have a minimum of 5–7 years of focused experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting open-source information in fields such as intelligence, law enforcement, cybersecurity, military, or national security.

• Demonstrate proficiency in OSINT tools, techniques, and methodologies, including advanced search methods, GEOINT from open sources, Dark/Deep Web research, data analysis, OPSEC, and attribution management.

• Have experience in designing, developing, or significantly contributing to technical or intelligence-related training curricula.

• Familiarity with applying the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) model in curriculum development.

• Experience in translating intricate OSINT concepts and methodologies into clear, teachable, and actionable instructional content.

• Background in developing individual and collective OSINT training, including curriculum development, assessment and validation, pilot-course advising, and enhancement recommendations.

• Previous experience in a military, Intelligence Community, law enforcement, or security agency setting.

• Knowledge of NATO and/or U.S. standards pertaining to intelligence and training.

• Proven experience in collaborating with U.S. and international stakeholders through both in-person and virtual facilitation techniques and tools.

• Qualification as a Military Instructor or an equivalent instructor certification.

• Relevant OSINT certifications or formal training is preferred, such as GIAC GOSI, SANS SEC497, or equivalent military/government OSINT courses.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, National Security, or a related field is preferred.

• Previous advisory or training experience within the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility.
