Online Teaching Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver personalized mentoring to designated students in specific courses as outlined in the agreement.

• Direct students to the recommended course materials.

• Assess and monitor the performance of individual students in achieving course goals and learning outcomes through assignments, practical tasks, quizzes, or exams; provide timely feedback on their progress.

• Utilize AAPC’s learning management system to access syllabi, assignments, and other resources while communicating with students.

• Engage in live sessions on AAPC’s virtual classroom platform—supporting faculty during the session.

• Employ a variety of teaching methods to mentor students and offer engaging assignments that showcase the practical applications of the concepts taught.

• Be accessible for student consultations during office hours or by scheduled appointments using AAPC’s virtual platform, phone, or email.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a current and valid certification as a “Certified Professional Coder & Certified Professional Biller.”

• Previous teaching experience in corporate training, especially with adult learners, is preferred.

• Experience in online teaching is advantageous.

• Have 2-3 years of experience in production coding or auditing.
