Online Teacher – US Diploma, Life Science 6

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and implement engaging, high-quality live Grade 6 Life Science lessons tailored to the individual needs, pace, and objectives of students.

• Instruct on topics such as cells and cell structure, living systems, the human body, genetics and heredity, ecosystems and food webs, adaptation and evolution, as well as the diversity of living organisms.

• Support students in navigating the scientific method, encompassing questions, hypotheses, home investigations, observations, and conclusions.

• Foster skills in scientific terminology, data interpretation, diagram and model analysis, and clear articulation of thought processes.

• Employ various teaching strategies and digital tools, including virtual labs, simulations, and interactive resources.

• Evaluate student progress, offer targeted feedback, and modify teaching methods as necessary.

• Organize and communicate course schedules, key milestones, and assessment timelines.

• Assign homework, activities, and assessments for students.

• Maintain regular communication with the student's family and the CGA team regarding progress.

• Create educational materials and contribute to the development of CGA's learning resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of teaching experience in a school environment; tutoring experience is not applicable to this requirement.

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Life Science, General Science, Science Education, or a related field.

• Comprehensive knowledge of middle school life science content and the US curriculum.

• Outstanding communication skills for effective engagement with students, parents, and the CGA team.

• Proficiency in online teaching platforms.

• Preference for candidates with previous experience teaching Life Science or General Science at the middle school level (Grades 6 to 8).

• Familiarity with a US curriculum, including NGSS, is preferred.

• Experience in delivering personalized one-on-one instruction and adapting lessons for diverse learning needs is preferred.

• A recognized teaching qualification, such as a postgraduate certificate in education, teaching degree, or teaching license, is preferred.

• Prior experience in online teaching is preferred.
