Online Teacher, Special Education

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Provide high-quality, engaging, and interactive online instruction that aligns with educational standards, curriculum, and the learning needs of students.

• Be available for live teaching during standard school hours.

• Tailor instruction to accommodate the diverse learning preferences of students in one-on-one, small group, and whole-class environments.

• Foster strong relationships with students and their families, creating a supportive and collaborative learning atmosphere.

• Monitor and evaluate student progress, offering timely feedback, grades, and academic assistance.

• Effectively utilize technology, including Canvas, Zoom, and various digital resources.

• Implement innovative teaching methods to ensure learning is engaging and accessible for all students.

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and academic objectives.

• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to improve curriculum delivery and enhance student success.

• Maintain precise records of student attendance, participation, and performance.

• Engage in professional development opportunities and ongoing training sessions.

• Host or co-host a club virtually and occasionally attend in-person field trips when they are geographically convenient.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the United States.

• Bachelor's degree.

• Valid teacher certification or endorsement in special education (or equivalent teaching experience in special education) issued by any U.S. state.

• Ability to quickly learn and effectively use online learning platforms and digital tools.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish positive relationships with students and families.

• A passion for online education and a dedication to student success.

• Capability to design engaging, student-centered lessons that stimulate curiosity and promote growth.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Must live in the United States full-time.

• Ability to pass a background check.

• Availability to work during traditional business hours.
