Online Nursing Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Upswing's tutoring approach emphasizes the significance of promoting student independence.

• Experience with the Socratic method and a passion for helping students enhance their critical thinking abilities.

• Online sessions are conducted through Upswing's virtual classroom, which includes video, audio, chatbox, and a whiteboard.

• Engagement with Upswing is flexible, based on your availability and student demand.

• Ideal candidates should be available for tutoring between Sunday to Thursday, from 6 PM to 10 PM CST / 5 PM to 9 PM EST.

• Onboarding is expected to take between 2 to 5 business days.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess expertise in the subject matter or advanced knowledge acquired through an undergraduate or graduate degree, or relevant professional experience in nursing.

• Access to dependable, high-speed Internet, a quiet environment free from distractions for conducting tutorials, and a reliable laptop or desktop equipped with a camera and microphone.

• Achieved excellent academic performance in undergraduate or graduate studies.

• Passion for teaching and assisting individuals in overcoming challenges, coupled with a desire to help others achieve their objectives.

• Availability to tutor a minimum of 2 to 5 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.

• A background in teaching methodologies, instruction, or prior tutoring experience at the college level (e.g., in a math or learning lab or writing center) is highly desirable.

• Ability to respond promptly to session requests.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
