Online Middle School ELA Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide tutoring to small groups of students within a school environment.

• Meet regularly with the same group of students several times a week at a designated time during the standard school day throughout the academic term.

• Engage students through the use of manipulatives and digital tools, including an interactive whiteboard.

• Analyze student assessment data to identify knowledge gaps.

• Implement the given standards-aligned digital curriculum.

• Generate detailed reports on student performance for Tutor.com staff, teachers, and school administrators.

• Work collaboratively with Instructional Specialists to enhance instructional methods and provide high-quality tutoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• Engage in training and professional development to grasp and apply high dosage tutoring methodologies.

• Must reside in the U.S. and be eligible for employment.

• Available to tutor up to 10 hours per week during school hours, with a schedule that may vary slightly from semester to semester.

• Able to adapt methods as needed to maintain student engagement and understanding.

• Must demonstrate proficiency in English Language Arts (ELA).

• Strong communication skills with fluency in English are essential.

• Must have obtained a 4-year degree (or higher) from an accredited institution.

• A teaching certificate is not a requirement.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience as an ELA Teacher or ELA Tutor in High School, Middle School, or Elementary Schools.
