Online Mandarin Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct engaging one-on-one online lessons utilizing Microsoft Teams.

• Foster a supportive and tailored learning atmosphere that enhances student engagement, confidence, and achievement.

• Assign tasks and provide prompt feedback regarding class performance, homework assignments, and projects.

• Track student progress and ensure accurate maintenance of grades and academic records.

• Communicate in a professional and proactive manner with students, families, and LanguageBird staff as necessary.

• Exhibit reliability, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.

• Engage in mandatory training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2+ years of experience teaching Mandarin (either online or in a classroom setting).

• Native-like proficiency in Mandarin.

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• Experience working with middle school and/or high school students is preferred.

• Familiarity with educational technology and Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines and expectations.

• Availability during evening hours in U.S. time zones (PST preferred).
