
Online Adjunct Professor – Cyber Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Prepare the assigned course(s) in Blackboard, ensuring all required components are completed by the specified deadline.
• Deliver approximately 12-14 hours of instruction each week, spread over five days for each course.
• Facilitate discussions, assess student assignments, monitor communications, and engage in personalized efforts to enhance student success.
• Respond to all forms of communication (email, text, calls, etc.) from students, supervisors, and colleagues within 48 hours.
• Lead discussions through meaningful, high-quality contributions, advanced questioning techniques, and additional resources.
• Update the grade book weekly, no later than Thursday at 11:59 pm ET for Weeks 1-6, and by 9 am ET Thursday after the last class day for Weeks 7 and 7.5.
• Adhere to the college’s plagiarism policy to uphold academic integrity in all courses.
• A Master’s degree in cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• Possession of at least one of the following certifications: CYSA+ or PenTest+.
• Valid certifications that have not expired.
• Preferred: Experience in online teaching.
• Familiarity with various technologies for feedback and student engagement (such as video/audio recording, inline comments, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
• A minimum of 3 professional references.
