This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Perform comprehensive clinical evaluations and prioritize patients according to established evidence-based protocols and clinical guidelines.
• Address patient inquiries through inbound and outbound calls, as well as secure patient messaging platforms.
• Offer suitable care recommendations or escalate issues to the relevant healthcare provider or care team member.
• Accurately and clearly document assessments, communications, and care coordination efforts in electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Assist with administrative tasks related to patient care, including FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD documentation, and coordination.
• Aid in the training and onboarding of team members, including participating in shadowing shifts (both as a learner and trainer) while promoting best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, clinical teams, and practice administrators to maintain continuity and quality of care.
• Maintain Sequence Health’s dedication to clinical excellence, integrity, and service in every interaction.
• Perform any other necessary tasks to support our values, achieve our mission, and adhere to our company principles.
• Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in a compact licensure state; BSN is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in various direct patient care environments, including Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and Critical Care.
• Experience in oncology is required.
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification is preferred.
• Prior experience in remote RN triage or telephone-based care delivery is strongly preferred.
• Proven clinical proficiency with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to convey empathy and clinical clarity through phone and written correspondence.
• Proficient in using EMRs (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Greenway) and standard office applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe, fax, etc.).
• Ability to work independently within scope while ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
