This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Interpret prescriptions from physicians.
• Reach out to doctors, prescribers, and/or patients to confirm prescription details and accelerate order processing.
• Monitor order status and unresolved issues.
• Provide consultation to patients concerning medication usage and possible drug interactions.
• Handle customer inquiries related to lost orders or dispensing mistakes.
• Maintain daily standards for production, quality, and service.
• Modify work priorities and activities to meet business requirements.
• Communicate with physicians for new and/or transfer authorizations.
• Collaborate with physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred alternatives whenever feasible.
• Validate prescription information entered by data entry or order entry personnel.
• Serve as backup for other pharmacists as necessary.
• Mentor less experienced pharmacists.
• Execute additional tasks assigned by management.
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required; PharmD is preferred.
• Must hold a current resident pharmacist license in good standing.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Experience in Specialty or Oncology is preferred.
• Advanced problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work collaboratively with other departments to address issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting prescriptions.
• Strong emphasis on customer service, quality, and accuracy.
• Ability to manage timelines and meet stringent client deadlines.
• Adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak times.
• Must reside and hold a license in AZ, FL, IN, OH, or TN.
• During the 8-week training period, availability is required Monday through Friday, 8:30 am–5 pm EST.
• Post-training, availability for a consistent Monday–Friday schedule of four days from 8:30 am–5 pm EST and one night from 12:30 pm–9 pm EST.
• Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with minimum speeds of 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload is required for remote work.
