This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee targeted oncology accounts and drive alignment and best practices across regions through account and sales strategies.
• Secure advantageous positions for products on customer formularies or contracts.
• Collaborate with Account Managers nationwide to manage pull-through sales and customer accounts.
• Build and nurture high-level relationships with executive management and key decision-makers.
• Evaluate opportunities' impact on profitability to manage contracting effectively.
• Facilitate client account discussions, ensuring contract implementation and compliance.
• Contribute to the development of contracting templates and customer guidelines.
• Formulate product strategies for promoted and/or contracted oncology products and product access plans.
• Perform competitive analysis and create tailored pull-through and sell-through sales strategies.
• Offer advice to Sales and Marketing executive management on contract terms, business challenges, and opportunities.
• Manage expectations for both customers and the sales force.
• Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders across various functions and management levels.
• Support strategic alliance partners within targeted accounts.
• Coordinate corporate resources while evaluating funding and staffing needs for account objectives.
• Disseminate accurate and timely account-specific and global trade information throughout AbbVie.
• Provide guidance to field sales, account management, and franchise groups.
• Assess and develop business relationships with key clients.
• Identify new customers and organizations that could positively impact AbbVie business.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree is optional but beneficial.
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• At least 8 years of total combined experience.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in sales management is advantageous.
• 2 to 3 years of sales and/or marketing experience in Oncology is a plus.
• 3 to 4 years of account management experience is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain required credentials.
• Ability to comply with potential background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and state- or city-specific licensing requirements.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time.
