This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +21 more states.
β’ Gathers, analyzes, and interprets family and medical histories, medical records, test results, and other pertinent information.
β’ Organizes testing and communicates results to the patient and the referring healthcare provider.
β’ Formulates genetic counseling strategies, encompassing risk assessment, referrals, educational guidance, life planning alternatives, and treatment options.
β’ Delivers counseling and educational support to patients and their families. Identifies and facilitates referrals for testing, treatment, support, and advocacy.
β’ Engages in multidisciplinary tumor boards as necessary.
β’ Investigates, updates, and applies knowledge of current trends and advancements in genetic disease research, testing, and treatment.
β’ Assists with the triage and scheduling of genetic counseling referrals as required.
β’ Experience as a Genetic Counselor is preferred.
β’ Certification as a Genetic Counselor, with renewal every 5 years, is mandatory.
β’ Proficiency in the English language, encompassing reading, writing, and speaking, is essential.
β’ A Master of Science in Genetic Counseling (or another relevant degree that qualifies for ABGC board certification) is required.
