This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Deliver therapeutic area and product knowledge in malignant hematology and the related pipeline across various medical customer segments and initiatives.
• Develop and implement medical strategy and engagement for designated clients in Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska.
• Stay informed about malignant hematology, its associated diseases, and Pfizer's medications.
• Provide therapeutic area and product insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a channel for medical information and customer insights.
• Address unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals while adhering to Pfizer's guidelines and protocols.
• Manage incoming healthcare professional queries through the established triage framework.
• Present approved medical content regarding Pfizer's medications and pertinent malignant hematology subjects.
• Identify and engage key customer segments.
• Collaborate with Oncology Research & Development and Global Product Development to pinpoint potential clinical trial sites, particularly those that cater to underrepresented patient populations.
• Offer medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process.
• Enhance research and malignant hematology knowledge through congress data and disease-state literature.
• Provide leadership in asset management.
• Communicate concepts related to study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation to customers.
• Lead the designated territory effectively.
• Engage with local Patient Advocacy Groups in partnership with Corporate Affairs and HQ Medical Affairs.
• Provide insights into local patient organization structures, capabilities, and the needs of patient populations.
• Participate in Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees.
• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs leadership in clinical and professional associations and societies.
• Mentor individuals through onboarding, advisory boards, and study leadership.
• Collaborate with headquarters medical colleagues, Pfizer Field Medical teams, internal stakeholders, and external customers.
• Deliver presentations and communications via live, virtual, written, and telephone channels.
• Enhance patient-centricity in medical communications and deliverables.
• Document medical interactions and leverage digital technology and other resources.
• Engage in special projects as necessary.
• MD or DO degree is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in malignant hematology is required.
• Recognized subject matter expertise in malignant hematology among both internal and external stakeholders.
• Must currently reside in one of the states within the territory: Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Alaska.
• Capability to manage a significant number of projects remotely, prioritize effectively, implement successfully, and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to collaborate within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team.
• Competence to lead change in a dynamic external healthcare landscape.
• Flexibility and adaptability to new therapeutic areas, territories, projects, and organizational changes.
• Strong problem-solving and enterprise-wide networking abilities.
• Proficiency in quickly adopting and utilizing new digital technology and resources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to operate a Pfizer company vehicle.
• Willingness to travel by air regularly.
• Flexibility to travel 60–80% of the time.
• Reasonable proximity to an airline hub city is necessary.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Preferred: Deep expertise and/or clinical experience in malignant hematology.
• Preferred: Established HCP network within the territory.
• Preferred: Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations.
• Preferred: Previous Field Medical experience.
• Preferred: Clinical and technical skills.
• Preferred: Diverse leadership experience, including influencing and collaborating with peers, developing/coaching others, and overseeing colleagues' work.
