This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +5 more states.
• Offer specialized knowledge in malignant hematology and product insights related to pipeline topics across various medical customer segments and initiatives.
• Strategize and implement medical engagement plans for designated customers within Northern CA, OR, WA, ID, AK, and HI.
• Keep abreast of malignant hematology disease states and Pfizer medications, providing essential information to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a source for medical information and customer insights, addressing unsolicited HCP inquiries, and managing inbound requests through established procedures.
• Develop and execute Field Medical tactics that align with the medical content strategy.
• Collaborate with colleagues at headquarters, Pfizer Field Medical teams, Global Medical Affairs, Oncology Research & Development, and Global Product Development.
• Identify potential sites for Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials, particularly those serving under-represented patient populations.
• Provide medical support during the Investigator Sponsored Research process.
• Enhance expertise in malignant hematology by staying updated on congress data and relevant literature.
• Lead asset management by communicating study design, methodologies, data analysis, and interpretation to customers.
• Oversee territory activities and maintain communication with local Patient Advocacy Groups.
• Share insights on local patient organization structures, capabilities, and patient needs.
• Participate in cross-functional committees related to medical, therapeutic areas, and assets as needed.
• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs in collaborations with clinical and professional associations and societies.
• Mentor colleagues through onboarding processes, advisory boards, and study leadership roles.
• Get involved in special projects as required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a health science is mandatory.
• Relevant experience required: PharmD/PhD with over 5 years of experience, MBA/MSc with more than 7 years of experience, or BA/BSc with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Recognized subject matter expertise in malignant hematology among internal and external stakeholders.
• Must reside in Northern CA, OR, WA, ID, AK, or HI, with preference for major cities in Northern California, Oregon, or Washington.
• Capability to manage a considerable volume of projects in a remote setting while prioritizing and implementing effectively, exercising sound judgment.
• Experience working within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team and nurturing professional relationships between Pfizer and customers.
• Capacity to lead and adapt to changes in a dynamic external healthcare landscape.
• Change agility and flexibility to embrace new therapeutic areas, territories, projects, and organizational adjustments.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and enterprise-wide networking skills.
• Proficiency in quickly adopting and utilizing new digital technologies and resources when interacting with medical customers and documenting medical interactions.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate a Pfizer company vehicle.
• Willingness to travel by air regularly and maintain flexibility for travel 60–80% of the time.
• Reasonable proximity to an airline hub city is necessary.
• Availability to work on weekends for advisory boards, regional meetings, and congresses.
• A PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree is highly preferred.
• Extensive expertise and/or clinical experience in malignant hematology.
• Established network of healthcare professionals in the territory.
• Familiarity with internal and external SOPs, regulations, and guidelines governing Pfizer/customer interactions.
• Previous experience in Field Medical roles.
• Proven clinical and technical skills.
• Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• This position necessitates permanent work authorization in the United States.
